Better Managed Care Tactics
Biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies spend enormous sums of money on tactics and programs designed to achieve a range of objectives. Some of these programs work, but many do not. Most even lack valid metrics to determine their value.
We believe that effective tactics derive from a thorough understanding of the marketplace. A pharmacoeconomic model, for example, will only work if it demonstrates an impact in terms that managed care organizations care about. Similarly, a managed care message that simply repackages the physician message will fail nine times out of ten.
Our approach to tactics begins with an effort to understand what our clients’ goals really are. Often, this means sitting down and thinking about how precisely a proposed program will address the identified problem. By working with our clients to define the problem as clearly as possible, and by drawing upon our own proprietary knowledge, we can then come up with tactical initiatives designed to address the problem.
We provide a wide range of tactical and communications services, including:
- Journal articles
- Monographs
- Pharmacoeconomic models
- Presentation kits
- Training
- Local meetings and advisory boards
- National advisory boards
- CE programming
