Since 1989, TZG has worked with life sciences product manufacturers, managed care organizations, and other health care organizations to develop effective payer strategies and programs by combining expertise in healthcare, marketing, and analytic techniques. Position Overview
As part of its business expansion strategy, TZG seeks a dynamic, intellectually curious, high-integrity professional to join its rapidly growing Strategy and Analytics Practice as an Analyst. This position will support the design, implementation, and management of TZG’s research and analytic products, as well as the implementation of individual client engagements. The Analyst will be an integral member of the team.
Essential Job Functions
- Market research data analysis and computation
- Secondary research on clients, market trends, and related issues
- Collection, maintenance, and analysis of drug accessibility data
- Analysis and standardization of managed care and insurance enrollment data
- Creation of reports for client deliverables
- Marketing strategy
- Post-sale client support
Ultimately, the Analyst’s success will reflect his or her contributions to the success of TZG’s analytic products and strategy engagements. Given the importance of close collaboration with other colleagues and with clients, the candidate’s fit with company values and culture represents an important determinant of success.
Requirements
- BA/BS or advanced degree, from a top institution, preferably in engineering, economics, business administration, or the life sciences
- 0-2 years of experience preferred
- A strong record of academic achievement
- Strong skills with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Unusual intellectual curiosity and creativity, reflected in a broad range of interests and excellent analytic abilities
- Exemplary writing skills and a strong interest in effective communication
- Advanced quantitative skills. Facility with SPSS and statistical analysis is a plus
- Previous professional experience in product management, consulting, marketing analysis, or equivalent undergraduate experience
- Background in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or managed care industry highly desirable

Work Environment
Candidates will need to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is important, as is the ability to meet deadlines.
Personally, applicants should have high energy, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with a variety of people. Initiative is critical; a sense of humor is very helpful. Candidates must be comfortable working in a small, privately held company that emphasizes customer service, professionalism, ongoing learning, accountability, and quality of work life.
