Since 1989, TZG has worked with life sciences product manufacturers, managed care organizations, and other health care organizations to develop effective payer strategies and programs by combining expertise in healthcare, marketing, and analytic techniques. The company provides information and insight via both customized and syndicated offerings. TZG enjoys several unique assets, including some that are the largest entities of their type in the US:
• The largest payer panel research infrastructure, allowing TZG to field quantitative surveys with 100+ payers
• The largest database of detailed health plan prior authorization policies and formulary information
• The largest syndicated studies focused on payer management of biologic and oncologic therapies, as well as employer and payer practices related to health benefit design

Position Overview

As part of its business expansion strategy, TZG seeks a dynamic, intellectually curious, high-integrity professional to join its rapidly growing Strategy and Analytics Practice as an Analyst. This position will support the design, implementation, and management of TZG’s research and analytic products, as well as the implementation of individual client engagements. The Analyst will be an integral member of the team.

Ultimately, the Analyst’s success will reflect his or her contributions to the success of TZG’s analytic products and strategy engagements. Given the importance of close collaboration with other colleagues and with clients, the candidate’s fit with company values and culture represents an important determinant of success.

The candidate must be able to work effectively at all levels of the organization – with client team members, managers, and senior executives – so strong interpersonal skills are a must. The candidate should be comfortable with detailed analysis, and must consistently deliver high-quality work. The successful communication of complicated issues represents a critical success factor, so the candidate should have excellent written and oral communications skills.

Work Environment

Candidates will need to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is important, as is the ability to meet deadlines.

Personally, applicants should have high energy, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with a variety of people. Initiative is critical; a sense of humor is very helpful. Candidates must be comfortable working in a small, privately held company that emphasizes customer service, professionalism, ongoing learning, accountability, and quality of work life.
