Position Overview

Working at The Zitter Group is more than a job. It's an opportunity to learn, excel, and innovate in a cross functional environment. Our staff is comprised of dedicated individuals who work together to create a stimulating and mutually rewarding atmosphere.

Because of our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Manager of Strategy and Analytics. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for overseeing project and client management for a variety of primary and secondary market research projects. You will leverage your skills and past experience to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.

This position is extremely strategic, both internally and externally. You will represent The Zitter Group to our clients, holding responsibility for the overall success of your market research projects. You will actively engage clients with your invaluable insights and be able to produce exceptional presentations. Internally, you’ll do what it takes to ensure that all of your projects are completed successfully – you’ll manage a number of concurrent engagements at any given time, not only managing timelines and creating deliverables, but providing direction and support to your team. We will look to you as an internal expert to consult on proposal development as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff.

Essential Job Functions

  • Project management, including management of project timelines, deliverables, and related functions
  • Account management with active clients as part of the project implementation process
  • Proposal development and active participation in the sales process, including onsite sales calls as appropriate
  • Oversight of a portfolio of concurrent research and analytic engagements
  • Creation of reports for client deliverables and participation in delivery of final reports
  • Recommending specific analytic techniques and methods that produce the information necessary to make an informed business decision, within the scope of a client’s timeline and budget
  • Collaborating and mentoring analysts and other staff, in multiple locations
  • Learning constantly about the biotechnology, life sciences, and managed care industries – and American healthcare in general

Requirements

  • MBA, MPA, MS or other advanced degree, from a top institution, preferably in engineering, economics, business administration, or the life sciences, including a strong record of academic achievement
  • Two to four plus years of project and account management experience in life sciences consulting, or the biotech, pharmaceuticals, or managed care industry; strong knowledge of biopharma and/or managed care issues
  • Advanced strategic and analytic skills, market research experience (qualitative and quantitative), and demonstrated success using these capabilities to provide strategic insights
  • Excellent client management and interaction skills, including effective task and engagement management; previous client management experience strongly preferred
  • Exemplary writing skills and a strong interest in effective communication
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively present complex ideas and content to diverse audiences
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access); including familiarity with data analytics and statistics packages – SPSS, SAS, etc.
  • High intellectual curiosity and creativity, and a commitment to continuous learning about the biotechnology, life sciences, and managed care industries, and American healthcare in general
