Position Overview
As part of its business expansion strategy, TZG seeks a dynamic, intellectually curious, high-integrity professional to join its Strategy and Analytics Practice as a Senior Analyst. This position will support the design, implementation, and management of TZG’s research and analytic products, as well as the implementation of individual client engagements. The Senior Analyst will be an integral member of the team.
Leveraging past experience in content creation, data analysis, and strategic thinking, the Senior Analyst will support current projects as well as serve as the project manager for certain engagements. Key responsibilities include client management (client interaction and satisfaction, proactive project management) and internal project coordination (efficient project oversight and coordination). As the Senior Analyst will represent TZG as the primary client lead for a given project, s/he must perform at the highest level, taking ownership of his/her work and producing client-ready deliverables with minimal supervision. Subject matter expertise in key areas of focus – including managed care, public payers (Medicare/Medicaid), and channel distribution, as well as disease categories – will be helpful.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position Responsibilities
Research Project Support (80%)
- Project management:
- Lead and collaborate with client and internal teams to complete market research projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and overall client satisfaction while managing projects to adhere to budgeting
- Market research data analysis and computation:
- Perform analysis of research data and create client-ready deliverables with summaries of research findings and strategic recommendations
- Strategic market research planning and analysis:
- Determine appropriate research objectives in collaboration with the client team
- Design and implement market research surveys and interviews to address client questions and research goals, applying an understanding of fundamental managed care and disease-specific business issues
- Client interaction:
- Present research findings and reports to clients
- Provide proactive updates and manage client expectations throughout research projects
- Secondary and syndicated research support:
- Participate in the analysis and completion of TZG’s syndicated reports and Prior Authorization Tracking Tool (PATT)
- Conduct secondary research on clients, market trends, and related issues on an as needed basis
- Sales support:
- Design and write market research proposals, providing consulting support to sales team as needed
- Personnel development:
- Participate in the development and training of team members, providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring, in addition to taking responsibility for personal development
- BA/BS or advanced degree, from a top institution, preferably in engineering, economics, business administration, or the life sciences. A strong record of academic achievement
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA, etc.) preferred
- 2-4 years of relevant consulting, biotech, pharmaceutical, or managed care experience, including prior client-facing roles; prior experience with pharma market research or marketing analysis is preferred
- Unusual intellectual curiosity and creativity, reflected in a broad range of interests and excellent critical thinking and analytic abilities
- Exemplary writing, effective communication and presentation skills
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and a working knowledge of Access).
- Advanced quantitative skills. Facility with SPSS and statistical analysis is a plus

Ultimately, the Senior Analyst’s success will reflect his or her contributions to the success of TZG’s analytic products and strategy engagements.
