Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink,
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink…-Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Prior Authorization Tracking Tool
The Zitter Group has responded to this market need by developing the Prior Authorization Tracking Tool (PATT), an online tool that reports on both overall PA trends as well as specific details.
PATT contains data from both national and regional health plans. Each client receives around-the-clock access to its own dedicated web site, which contains customized data and reports that target the client’s specific needs.
With PATT, managed care and sales professionals can determine:
- Prevalence of a specific criteria across accounts
- Profile of PA restrictiveness for all accounts in a given territory
- Accounts where a competitor drug has an advantage or disadvantage
- PA restrictiveness by number of accounts and by number of managed care lives
- Trends on overall restrictiveness

Book of Business Analyzer
Biotech and pharmaceutical companies often find it difficult to link sales to payers. The sales data they purchase from third-party vendors contains a payer tag, but the information requires additional work before it can yield the necessary insights. Some of the common issues include:
- Non-payer entries. What
is listed as payer could be a provider, PBM, SPP, employer, union, even
school district. Many of entities are local operations and thus
are not easily recognizable.
- Mergers and acquisitions. The data reflect a point in time, and do not reflect M&A and other
market changes.
- Subsidiaries. Data often fail to capture subsidiary relationships.
- Quality. The payer names do not lend to easy data aggregation. For example, Aetna of Georgia may be listed as "Aetna of GA," "Aetna of Georgia," "Aetna GA," "Aetna Inc.," etc.
The Zitter Group will go through your data, record by record, to identify each entity, and to correct the payer name as needed so that the data can be easily aggregated by payer. The result is a clean snapshot of the book of business – how much volume is being generated by a given entity, and by each payer type (e.g. MCO, Medicaid, PBM).
